COURSE ABSTRACT:
This mini course introduces ReSound Vivia, the world’s smallest AI-powered hearing aid, designed to enhance hearing in noise without compromising comfort or battery life. The course explores ReSound’s Intelligence Augmented approach, which uses AI to support, rather than replace, organic hearing. It highlights Vivia’s advanced features, including Deep Neural Network (DNN) technology, Intelligent Noise Tracker, and Clear Focus directional processing. Together, these form Intelligent Focus, enabling users to better understand speech in noisy environments. The course also explains how Vivia’s power efficiency and design make it suitable for all-day wear, even with heavy streaming or for long duration in noisy conditions. Vivia is available in multiple RIE form factors and technology levels.

Rachel Liu is a National Field Training Audiologist at GN Hearing Care. She has extensive clinical and corporate experience working in clinics and for hearing aid manufacturers. She received her Master of Science degree in Audiology from Western University and her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University. She enjoys gardening in spite of her brown thumbs and has a canine teenager.
