COURSE ABSTRACT:

This micro course provides practical guidance on enhancing infection control standards in audiology clinics. Through discussions on the proper use of ultrasonic cleaners, considerations for hearing aid dryers, reprocessing of hearing aid vacuum tips, and infection control measures for specialized tools like endoscopes, participants gain insights into effective strategies for maintaining a safe clinical environment.

  • Learn how to apply infection control principles in your hearing care practice, to create a protocol and maintain compliance.
  • Evaluate the infection control effectiveness and limitations of many common pieces of hearing clinic equipment, using infection control principles.
