COURSE ABSTRACT:

Ever wonder why you get along great with some clients and clash with others? This course uses the Meyers Briggs social styles theory to help you to identify the dominant personality style of a new client. Using the skills taught in this class will bring a level of detective work into your first appointment with new clients. This not only makes your job more fun, but it helps significantly in improving the relationship you have with your client; making them feel seen and understood from the get-go.

COURSE SUMMARY:

In this course you will learn about the Meyers Briggs social style. Social style is most effective for understanding how others see us, and also for understanding how to interact most effectively with others based on their Styles. Versatility adds to this understanding by providing pragmatic techniques for increasing interpersonal effectiveness in the clinic. You will understand how to read subtle clues that a person demonstrates which will guide you in understanding who they are. Some clients we see have obvious cues and we all know it when we are with the “engineer” type. This is a way to better read the softer cues of the other three types to best deliver information to them in a way that is most digestible and understandable for who they are as a person. You will learn that not everyone is like you and how to modify your own style to be able to deliver information not in the way you would want it to be delivered, but in the way that your clients need it to be delivered. Ultimately, this increases the trust of the client and sales to your clinic.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Identify your own Meyers Briggs social style.
  • Read cues from your clients to correctly identify the buying style of your client.
  • Modify your delivery of information about the audiogram and how to move into the discussion about hearing loss by first creating an environment of trust and safety.
